“Baker” is a brand of “Slavyanka” group of companies, which is one of the oldest Russian enterprises and one of the top 50 global confectionery companies. Over 85 years of its history, “Slavyanka” has become a symbol of stable quality and perfect taste.
It began its history in the 70s of the XIX century with a small oil-making production of the famous old Oskol merchant Dyakov. Ivan Alekseevich Dyakov together with his brother Alexander owned a small factory to produce high-quality hemp and peanut butter. Later, the production of sweets was also launched at the factory began production of gingerbread, marmalade and jam. At the beginning of the 20th century, the confectionery business of Dyakovs expanded its production and assortment, including the production of caramel candies “Snakeweed”, toffee, and various other caramel candies.
During the Soviet era the Dyakovs factory was nationalized and modernized to improve the quality and volume of its production, and after the fall of USSR it became the private company again, quickly acquiring other factories to become “Slavyanka” group of companies, which is now producing a wide selection of sweets and various other food products.
