Fun fact: "Yasnaya Polyana" is the former home of the world’s famous Russian writer Leo Tolstoy. It is located just 12 kilometers (7.5 mi) southwest of Tula and 200 kilometers (120 mi) from Moscow.

Tolstoy was born in this house, and there he also wrote his masterpieces “War and Peace” and “Anna Karenina”. His body is also buried nearby.

But let us go back to the sweets manufacturer “Serene Meadow”. It produces over 100 types of confectionery but is the most famous for its original Tula pryaniks, which it sells not only in Russia but in other countries as well!
