The famous Soviet soft-drink "Tarhun" is now produced according to original Georgian recipe. The idea to add the natural essence of tarragon (more known as tarhun in Russia) to the purest sparkling water occurred first to the young Georgian pharmacist Mitrofan Lagidze. In the Soviet Union, the recipe was finalized and the drink appeared on the shelves only in 1981. New soft-drink quickly became the people's favorite with its tart, spicy and fragrant taste with notes of steppe grasses and vanilla. It perfectly quenches thirst and regulates appetite.
